360 feedback is not a one size fits all solution. This has been the primary problem for most organisations when hunting for the right fit. Each 360-degree solution provider has designed and developed a tool to cater to their understanding and experience and developed to their existing customer standard requirements. When a new potential customer suggests that they are looking for a specific feature, the supplier will either a) state that they cannot help b) ask for several months to develop it for them with or without charge c) recommend an alternative provider.
360 feedback is a methodology – It must contain certain key components to effectively confirm the “360-degree feedback” rules, but every organisation can interpret these differently. Just as every business has differing methods of functions and operations an organisation should not be forced into using one particular method.
This is the key reason why not everyone is doing it!
But…Should everyone be doing it?
Absolutely yes! 3sixtylite is one such solution that does not restrict the organisation to conform to one standard style of assessment. A company should be able to state exactly how they wish the assessment is to be run, by when, in what look, to what specification and in whatever language and reporting style they wish.
Sadly like many things in life if you had one negative experience it can be very easy to assume the whole process or concept of 360 is flawed. Where in actual fact it may have just been you didn’t get the right fit!
As Saville Row is to suits…3sixtylite is to 360 feedback.
